MIXARDA TOWER

The Mixarda Tower is a modern watchtower, dated between the 16th and 17th centuries. It has a circular masonry plan and is 10.50m. height and 6 m. in diameter The entrance door faces east and has a one-piece lintel and cut stone jambs.

Inside, on the floor, you can see the cistern with a dry stone vault. On the first floor there are three equally spaced loopholes; on the second floor, three square windows, and on the highest part, on the roof, three gargoyles to drain the water and three corbels that support the three matacans complete the set. The upper floors and the roof are accessed by means of three wooden staircases located between the floors. Inside the tower is the interpretation center for the watchtowers. Around it you will find a leisure area.
