Like every last Sunday of the month, in this case on July 28 at eleven in the morning, you can visit the Textile Interpretation Center (CIT) of Pla de Santa Maria. The Center occupies one of the warehouses of the old textile factory built in 1916-17 by the company Martí Llopart i Trenchs.

The Center displays several hundred-year-old machines characteristic of the textile industry (looms, warpers and continuous machines) which, restored by José Luis Baldor, a former employee of the company, still work. The CIT also has detailed information on the history of the Factory and the fabric manufacturing process, and an audiovisual room where you can see illustrative materials. Visiting it allows you to relive a very important part of the history of Catalan industry.
