One of the greatest representatives of Catala
GUIDED VISIT TO THE PINACOTECA MUSEUM, MUSEUM OF RURAL LIFE AND FOSSIL EXHIBITION
Located in the old convent of the Germanes Dominiques, completely restored. The Pinacoteca Museum, managed by the Fundació Mn. Romà Comamala, where we can enjoy a collection of religious paintings from the 16th to 19th centuries and from the Catalan, Spanish, Italian and Flemish schools. Compiled by Monsignor Romà Comamala, rector of Vilabella (1964-2000), throughout his life, it contains more than 200 religious-themed works, including paintings, sculptures, engravings and religious objects. The uniqueness of the collection, originally conceived with a catechetical aim, but also for artistic enjoyment, lies in the fact that it is made up mainly of Renaissance and Baroque style works.
In the same Pinacoteca building we find this ethnological display of tools, utensils and furniture used in the Catalan countryside for centuries. It consists of a sample, arranged in several rooms, which make up a reconstruction of a farmer's house; the rooms, the kitchen, etc. And it shows us the story of a way of life, hard, but without which we would not be able to tell our story.
